0800 numbers are to become completely free to phone from all of mobile provider Three’s new tariffs.

Nationwide takes first steps to become fully free to phone

nationwideBanking giants Nationwide Building Society announced yesterday that they have moved their main customer service phone number over to the free to phone 0800 range.

Majority of UK consumers want to get rid of their fixed phone line

dockntalk3A survey has revealed that 64 per cent of respondents would get rid of their fixed phone line if it wasn’t required for home broadband.

Of the 998 internet users surveyed by ISPreview.co.uk between 15th July and 12th August, it was found that over two thirds of consumers would be more than willing to do away with their fixed telephone line, with another 15 per cent saying that they would consider it. Facebook announces developments to support hashtags

Hashtags are soon to be supported on Facebook as well as Twitter, as the social networking site has announced plans to introduce to clickable links wherever the ‘#’ sign is used.

36% of UK population do all of their shopping online

Figures released today show that over a third of UK (36%) shoppers choose to do the majority of their shopping online, with the average spend per month rising from just £56 to £113 in the past decade.
